If its not mobile its not wanted so unless Microsoft was trying to turn the tide this one is doomed to failure and the happless companies who decided to back it hopefully have a way of backing out now.

But i remember the funniest thing about it was the outraged letters to the magazines telling horror stories about attempts to remove BOB from their systems that resulted in total failure, and loss of the OS.
You encounter the last remnants of Bob each time you run into Clippy or any of the other help personalities in MS Office97 or newer (so, yes, you have a bit of MS Bob on your Mac if you are using MS Office98 [or newer] for the Mac.
IIRC, Microsoft Bob was about the only thing Microsoft ever created in-house, without buying/sneaking/stealing/etc. But then, I think At Ease came first, so not even that might be true.

Ein nicht wirkliches BOB Programm ist das Backup-Programm, es scheint nach einer gewissen Zeit von selbst zu starten und speichert die benutzerdefinierten Einstellungen auf einem Verzeichnis der Festplatte.

Yep, MS Bob was even worse than I imagined -- especially the purple speaking elephant that is in the geography game.
I exited, and then went back to it later, and the sounds were gone from Bob and the only way I could exit out of the program was to manually end the task or hope for a program crash.
