MSN Messenger for Mac lacks in may features that are currently available in MSN Messenger for Windows, many of those features have become standard on the Windows version of MSN Messenger but even after a year and a half and 2 new releases of MSN Messenger for Mac, they aren't included with the Macintosh version.
MSN Messenger is a great application on the Windows platform but we fail to see why it lacks so much on the Macintosh when it's posing no real loss to Microsoft to actually integrate the same features cross platform.

Much was made of the news recently when Ward Cunningham left Microsoft, but I think the more important news here is that Microsoft is trying to bring in people with ideas from outside their standing culture.
It seems his 2 sales on eBay were "unfair competition." The beauty of it all is that the guy realized Microsoft's claims were bogus and he's countersuing them and won't back down without an apology and compensation for costs he's incurred dealing with the suit.
Various news sites report that Microsoft has announced that Longhorn will be out sometime in 2006, but that in order to make this date, key features such as WinFS will be dropped.
