		The municipality of Wieringermeer consists of the following cities, towns, villages and/or districts: Kreileroord, Middenmeer, Slootdorp, Wieringerwerf.
		The Wieringmeerpolder is a polder, newly created land.
		Four villages (Slootdorp (1931), Middenmeer (1933), Wieringerwerf (1936) and Kreileroord (1957)) eventually grew up in the polder.

	Wild Goose Chase! Bird Watching Report
		Just outside Middenmeer, we had an appointment with two local birders, Luc Smit and Laurens van der Vaart, who assisted us in our mission to see the dark Dutch subspecies of Barn Owl.
		The largest flock of 100s was present in the Wieringermeer near Middenmeer on 3/12.
		During lunch on 3/12, three roosting birds were found in a pine in a garden at Middenmeer.

		Than the canal will follow to the city Middenmeer and there it will go along as the Westvriesevaart.
		When we go further you will find also some interesting parts of the canal but this part up to Middenmeer is not that fished much.
		This part is also very large and in Middenmeer the canal splits up in 3 small canals.
