Rotten Tomatoes Forums - How big is is Middle Earth? I just happen to have a copy of "The Atlas of Middle Earth" by Karen Fonstad...a very helpful book in this regard. I don't have a world atlas, so I have to guess how big the US and Canada together are from North to South, but I'd guess between 3000-4000 miles, though the US by iself may be around 1700 or 1800 miles. When you look at it PJ's middle earth seems quite a bit smaller to me.
