		Turns out the Army Corps of Engineers, in a somewhat surprising decision, recently approved the building of the Cohoke reservoir in the Middle Peninsula, ostensibly to support business growth in the Newport News area.
		Well, apparently the project had been bottled up for a couple of years because, among other things, the reservoir would be at the location of ancient burial grounds for the Pamunkey, Mattaponi, and Upper Mattaponi tribes of Virginia and would destroy 430 acres of wetlands.
		On the surface, yeah, I guess the Middle Peninsula does need water, and it is tricky to navigate tribal rights in general.
