Middlesex is not distinguished by any particular breed of cattle, most of the calves that are bred in it being suckled until they are ten weeks old, and then sold to the butcher.
The common fuel of Middlesex is coal, which is brought by vessels from the counties of Northumberland and Durham to the port of London, whence it is forwarded, by land or water carriage, to all parts of the county, and into Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Kent, and Essex.
A county of England, bounded by Hertfordshire, Essex, Surrey, Kent, and Buckinghamshire.

It is one of the 39 historical counties of England.
Instead, in 1965, nearly all the remainder of Middlesex was subsumed by the new Greater London except the Potters Bar district; which was ceded to Hertfordshire, and the district of Spelthorne, which were ceded to Surrey.
Middlesex is still used as a placename, and exists in the name of such organisations as the Middlesex County Cricket Club or Middlesex University.

The parishes covered by the records in Sandy's index consist of about two thirds of those contained in the area left remaining in the County of Middlesex after the creation of the County of London in 1889; although the marriages indexed go back well before that (to the 16th century).
Middlesex parish registers are mostly held by the London Metropolitan Archives.
You input must be provided in an electronic form and must cover all the marriage records in a parish (at least within reasonable limits, eg 16th to 19th centuries).

Former Middlesex and England batsman Roland Butcher has accepted a two-year post at the University of West Indies.
He has been appointed Director of Sports at the Cave Hill campus in Barbados, the island where he was born.
Butcher made his Middlesex debut in 1974 after moving to England when he was 14 and went on to score more than 12,000 runs, including 17 centuries.
