Middleton is a small town in Greater Manchester, England.
Middleton is known primarily for being a Lancashire industrial town with major links to the silk industry stretching back to the 19th century.
Middleton Parish Church was built in the 16th century but it is possible that parts of the church, particularly the wooden steeple, may date from Norman times.
