		The county is said to be mostly of Republican influence, an abnormality from its neighboring counties, Saginaw and Bay who mainly vote Democrat.
		In the county the population is spread out with 26.90% under the age of 18, 8.70% from 18 to 24, 29.20% from 25 to 44, 23.20% from 45 to 64, and 12.00% who are 65 years of age or older.
