 BLOXWICH TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB
In 1983, after just two years in the County League, Bloxwich joined the Midland Football Combination and finished 7th in Division Two in the first season but gained promotion to the newly renamed Premier Division (previously called Division One, prior to 1983), thanks to the standard of their ground.
The newly-formed Bloxwich United fielded no less than 11 teams in the Southern League, Midland Football Combination, Midland Floodlit Youth League, Walsall Minor League, Walsall Junior Youth League and the South Staffordshire Ladies League.
This was achieved and season 2000-01 saw the club finish in mid-table in the Midland Football Alliance.

The North West Counties Football League was formed in 1982 with the amalgamation of the Cheshire County League and the Lancashire Combination.
The League operates First and Second Division competitions, plus a Reserve League and Cup, and also stages a Challenge Cup, the Final of which is staged at Gigg Lane, home of Bury FC, a Floodlit Trophy and a Second Division Trophy.
We also have formal promotion/relegation arrangements with the Liverpool County Combination, the Manchester League, the Mid-Cheshire League, the Midland League, the West Cheshire League and the West Lancashire League.

After 3 years in the Alliance Premier, including a 16th place in 1981 which is the highest league finish to date for the club, relegation took them back to the Southern League Premier Division in 1982.
Land in Harbury Lane is bought in 1990, with pitches starting to be built in 1993, but it is 1999 before the new ground is officially named "The New Windmill", and 2000 before the team starts playing again in the Midland Combination Division 2.
In 1979, after several more appearances in the early stages of the FA Cup, the club became a founder member of the Alliance Premier League (now the Conference) - the year was also marked by a 9-0 defeat in the FA Cup 1st round to Tranmere.
