Lincolnshire (abbreviated Lincs) is a county in the East Midlands of England.
The East Midlands is one of the regions of England and consists of most of the eastern half of the tradional region of the Midlands.
BBC Midlands Today is the BBCs regional television news programme for the West Midlands region, which is comprised of The West Midlands county, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire.

Sagar now intends to stick to western clothes when she is on morning duty “when you have to rush around a lot” but to adopt the sari for evening bulletins.
Today, although it is still unusual to find saris in the office environment, except in Asian-owned establishments, younger women do love dressing up in a sari or a salwar kameez outside the workplace.

James Saunby, head of ICT at Advantage West Midlands, said: “The availability of broadband is becoming increasingly important to businesses and we are examining ways of making affordable broadband services available to rural communities across the region to support their future economic prosperity.
Using funding provided by Advantage West Midlands and the DTI UK Broadband Fund, it is designed to aid an understanding of the value and take-up of broadband services by fast-tracking broadband provision in rural towns across the region.
Advantage West Midlands is the Regional Development Agency for the UK’s industrial, commercial and agricultural heartland and was established by the UK Government in 1999.

 Trades Union Congress - Midlands TUC condemns women's pay inequalities in the east midlands
The Midlands TUC today condemned new figures showing that women workers in the east midlands still trail behind their male counterparts 35 years after the Equal Pay Act.
TUC Midlands Regional Secretary Roger McKenzie said 'We have know for years that women’s pay badly lags behind that of men and these recent figures show this all too well.
Lower income for women also leads to lower disposable income and again women are seriously behind in the east midlands with only 55% of the disposable income of men.

The Radio Authority has today (2 February) published the details of the West Midlands regional licence award made to Saga Radio Ltd. The Authority made the award on 22 January 2001.
This is the second local licence for the West Midlands region which has been awarded by the Authority, and the region as a whole is well served by local independent radio.
This growing demographic (41% of the 15+ population in the West Midlands, according to data from the 1991 Census) does not currently have access to an ILR service that caters specifically for its tastes and interests, and this demographic gap contrasts with the degree to which other audiences are served.
