The Aramaic of the Talmuds, Targumim, and Midrashim.
This classification is based on that used by Klaus Beyer*.
It is the linguistic setting for the Palestinian Talmud (completed in the fifth century), Palestinian targumim (Jewish Aramaic versions of scripture), and midrashim (biblical commentaries and teaching).
