WASHINGTON, D.C. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) hailed the announcement today that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded Midway Airlines a grant of at least $12 million and Midway's announcement that it expected to be back in the air on December 19th.
Etheridge, who has worked closely with Midway, the Department of Transportation and members of the North Carolina congressional delegation to secure the grant, praised the airline and its CEO Bob Ferguson for moving to hire back hundreds of laid off employees before Christmas.
Midway remains eligible for what is believed to be as much as $28 million in loan guarantees, although the airline has to yet to apply for those funds.

The bankruptcy administrator overseeing Midway's case filed a motion in April, recommending that the airline be liquidated.

I fly Midway a lot for business but it is usually from RDU to BDL, PHL, DCA and a few FL flights.
Never have been in FC on Midway so I do not know about that service.
The largest plane they had then was a Fokker 100 and I am not sure if anything changed.
