At the Mihai-Voda Church in Bucharest, a foundation of the voivode Mihai Viteazul, on August 9, 2001 some prelates led by the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church served a service in the memory of Mihai Viteazul at 400 years after his assassination.
In his word addressed on this occasion His Beatitude Teoctist evoked the heroic figure of the ruler and of the maker of the national unity, the courage and sacrifice that he made for the affirmation and unity of the Romanian people, the faith, love and devotion for his country and people.
The Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church also mentioned that Mihai was the ruler who was in contact with Europe during the difficult moments and he fought for the unity of the three Romanian provinces.

Promotii --- Romanii supt Mihai-Voievod Viteazul --- Litera International
