Michael Everett Capuano, an American politician, and Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the 8th District of Massachusetts (map).
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on January 9, 1952 to mother Rita Garvey Capuano, and father Andrew Capuano, Michael attended Somerville High School, and graduated in 1969.
Capuano then went on to become mayor of Somerville from January 1990 through Decemeber 1998.

I think that if Democrats try in one breath to call for reform and point to Delay as horribly corrupt but in the other breath defend the blatantly stupid decision by Capuano as an aberration we will immediately lose our edge as reformers and look like silly, partisan hacks.
Representative Capuano may represent the people of his district well but in this current climate of corruption he has spectacularily failed us and for that we need to think twice about who we send to Washington in November.
As one of Capuano's constituents, I've found him extremely proactive, informed, and brave within a political climate where few are.
