  The Worley Gig ::
For drummer Mike Fasano, his first concert experience is one he’ll never forget, because it directly helped to shape the course of his future.
Mike toured nationally with Clarke in support of The Hangover and was again called on to lend his drumming talents to its successor, Rubber.  “Touring with Gilby and playing on his records was a very cool experience,” says Mike.
Mike toured nationally with Warrant and recorded the album Under the Influence with the group before moving on in 2004.

Mike Clink: The one song that was a point of disagreement was "November Rain." It was an epic, but the rest of the band felt it wasn't right for the first Guns record - they wanted to keep it guitar oriented.
Mike Clink: The amazing thing was, I had so many people come up to me and say, "This is the biggest piece of crap I've ever heard." And after it sold a million copies, those same people said, "I always loved that record."

All this proved to be crucial when, in 1987 and after a series of failed attempts, a young band named Guns N' Roses asked Clink to produce their debut album Appetite For Destruction.
Several million copies later both Clink and the band found themselves at the top of their respective industries.
Clink is also known to choose his projects carefully and, rather than take on every big name act that has been offered to him, he has carved out a smaller, but credible, portfolio of production credits.

A little known fact that even most hardcore fans aren’t aware of is that producer Mike Clink, who produced such albums as Guns ‘N Roses Appetite For Destruction, and Megadeth’s Rust in Peace was slated to be the producer for Metallica’s fourth studio album …And Justice For All.
With that in mind, my guess is that Mike tried to get the band to open up a little more and try a few different things, much like Bob Rock did with the Black Album, but he was met with resistance from James and Lars and was fired because of it.
Mike Clink would certainly have helped in that process had Metallica stayed with him.
