It was reported in todays Toronto Star that former Phillie 2B Mike Goliat who played on the 1950 Whiz Kids as part of an infield of Eddie Waitkus, Goliat, Granny Hamner and Willie "Puddin Head" Jones has died.
Goliat also played AAA ball in Toronto in the 1940's before he was a Phillie.
In 1972 a crack commando team was sent to prison by a Military court for a crime they didn't commit.
