On the March 7, 2005 Mikhail Marinich, named “a prisoner of conscience” by Amnesty International, had a stroke in a jail cell in Vitebsk, Belarus.
Marinich is being detained did not notify his relatives nor anyone else about his stroke, and have kept it secret for three days. His left side is paralyzed.  He has not been hospitalized and has not received any medical attention or medication.
Marinich (who was imprisoned only because of his political views), provide him with all necessary medication and release him.
