Construction of the highest Communications Tower is underway in Tehran at a cost of rls 750 billion, IRNA reported.
He said that the ceiling of the 435-meter high tower, the fourth in the world, will be lifted from the ground by the special elevator which is capable of raising 700 tons to the top.
The Communications Tower called `Milad Tower` named after birthday of the Lord of the Time Imam Mehdi will cover over 95 percent of Tehran for communications services.

According to Iran Daily, Nasser Pazouki, director of the ICHTO?s Registration Department, said that Milad Tower is an example of special architecture in Tehran.
It is a symbol of urban lifestyle and should be registered with ICHTO as a cultural heritage.
The official said that ICHTO has decided to register Milad Telecom Tower as a cultural heritage site immediately after the inauguration of the landmark building.
