Miles Franklin (born "Stella Maria Sarah Miles Franklin", October 14, 1879, died September 19, 1954) was an Australian writer.
After its publication in 1901, Franklin tried a career in nursing, and then as a housemaid in Sydney and Melbourne.
In 1906, Franklin moved to the USA and undertook secretarial work for Alice Henry, another Australian, at the National Women's Trade Union league in Chicago, and co-edited the league's magazine, Life and Labor.

In 1889 the family moved to a property near Goulburn, NSW, and then in 1903 to Penrith, a suburb on the western outskirts of Sydney and finally in 1914 to Carlton, an inner suburb of Sydney.

This trail is fun and beautiful, I parked at the west end trailhead,marked by a wooden sign about 7 miles past station on left of road (North Side).Im not the greatest rider but still had a lot of fun on this trail, even beginners could ride this and walk the ups and downs.
I rode 3.5+ miles from that point and had to turn back because the sun was setting.
We also did a leg/glute burning, 5 mile ride from the fire tower back to the headquarters using the fire roads until, they spilled us out onto 156 for the remainder with a headwind.
