The three original Pennsylvania counties were Bucks, Chester, and Philadelphia (see map #1); then Lancaster County was formed in 1729.
At a Court held for Berkeley County the 19th day of April 1786 this indenture was proven by the Oaths of Bataile Muse and George Roots witnesses thereto and ordered to lie further proof and at a court held for the said county the 15th day of April 1788.

Milford Township filed for an injunction Monday that seeks to prevent CFC Logistics Inc. from bringing in cobalt-60 to operate an NRC licensed underwater irradiator at its cold storage warehouse near the Pennsylvania Turnpike until township permit issues can be resolved.
Milford officials said that a pending radioactive materials ordinance, which could be adopted Sept. 23, could require the company to obtain a permit.
Jim Wood, president of CFC, said that safety concerns fall under the jurisdiction of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and that the township officials are buckling under pressure from residents who oppose the 1,600-square-foot irradiator inside an existing 150,000-square-foot cold storage facility.
