Although the ensemble was a studio band gathered for the occasion rather than one of the military forces bands, the result sounds entirely authentic, including on such well-worn but important pieces as Stars and Stripes Forever and The Star Spangled Banner.
Also, as a serious military band listener I like to know who is performing the music.
Try seaching for the US Army Band or US Marine band, Air Force, Navy bands, etc. These are real ensembles who will provide great versions of this music.

Military band - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The military band should be capable of playing ceremonial and marching music, including the national anthems and patriotic songs of not only their own nation but others as well, both while stationary and as a marching band.
Following the development of instruments such as the keyed trumpet or the saxhorn family of brass instruments, a second tradition of the all brass military band was formed.
In the United States, these bands were increased in instrumentation to include woodwinds, which gives us the modern military band in the United States, as well as the basis for high school and college marching bands and concert bands.

THE EVOLUTION OF THE MILITARY BAND - Jack Kopstein
Although the town bands had as yet only poor instrumentation, consisting mostly of fifes, flutes, schalmey (a form of oboe), bombards (a bass flute), zinken or cornetti, bagpipes, viols and drums, they are the first germs from which modern bands originated.
A landmark in the development of military music was a performance in honor of the Russian Emperor by Carl Wieprecht, the organizer of Prussian military music, in Berlin on May 12th, 1838, at which he conducted the massed bands of 32 infantry and cavalry units, totaling 1,000 wind instruments and 200 drummers.
This was the forerunner of the present military band in England and the Commonwealth.

 Wind Band - MSN Encarta
Significant band development in the United States was delayed until the American Civil War (1861-1865), when brass bands, both Union and Confederate, became increasingly important in military and public ceremony.
The carefully prescribed instrumentation of the band began to expand during the war to include newly improved reed and brass instruments, constantly developed by such builders as the Belgian Adolphe Sax and the German Theobald Boehm.
School bands, some conducted by former professional band directors, others by a new generation of institutionally trained teacher-conductors, began to participate in nationwide playing and marching contests, and leadership in the band field passed firmly to the college and university.

The sound of the Ottoman military band is characterized by an often shrill sound combining bass drums, horns (boru), bells, the triangle and cymbals (zil), among others.
