According to Mills, the College had already begun to investigate the possibility of purchasing of 100 percent of its electricity from renewable sources before receiving the group's petition.

The Mills campus is located just off Interstate 580, southeast of downtown Oakland.
If you are coming from San Francisco, downtown Oakland, or the North Bay, take I-580 East (toward San Leandro and Hayward) and exit at MacArthur Boulevard (preceded by the High Street exit and followed by the Seminary Avenue exit) that is approximately eight freeway miles from the Bay Bridge.
The exit will curve to the right, and the entrance to Mills will then be immediately ahead on your left opposite the Union 76 gas station.

As an undergraduate at Mills, I was an intern with alumna and Alumnae Association Board of Governors member, Penny Peak, class of 1982.
At first the goal of the project was to capture the history and traditions of Mills through stories of older alumnae, those graduating in 1943 and earlier.
