The inhabitants of the Town of Milton, within the limits as now established, shall be a municipal corporate by the name of the Town of Milton, including the area within the former incorporated Village of Milton, the geographical boundaries of which are referenced in Sec.
The town is authorized to purchase, control, construct, maintain, and operate an electric light and power plant, and may generate and purchase electric current for light, heat, and power and for any other purpose for which the current may be used by the town inhabitants.
The town may furnish electric power to parties residing within or without the corporate limits of the town, upon such terms and subject to such regulations as may be agreed upon from time to time, or as necessary to comply with federal and state laws and regulations.
