Barbara Green and her 17-year-old daughter Kristen Wormsley, a senior at the American School in Islamabad, were the only Americans who died in the attack.
Green and her husband, Milton Green, a native of Fernandina Beach, worked at the U.S. Embassy - she in administration and he in the computer division.
Milton Green, 46, and the couple's 10-year-old son were injured but not seriously, according to police.

Milton Green equaled the World indoor record in the 45-Yard High Hurdles four times in 1935 and 1936 and matched the World indoor mark in the 60-Meter High Hurdles in 1936.
Running for Harvard University, Green first equaled the World indoor mark of 5.8 seconds in the 45-Yard High Hurdles in a January 13, 1935, triangular meet against Yale and Princeton.
Green set many collegiate records in the high and low hurdles and long jump events and was elected to the Harvard Athletic Hall of Fame in 1961.

Milton Green, a former world-record hurdler who boycotted the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, has died.
Green, 91, whose obituary was mistakenly published in the Globe and many other newspapers last August because the Associated Press mistook him for another man with the same name, died Tuesday in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Green said in a story published in the Palm Beach Post in 1997, when he was elected to the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in Netanya, Israel.

Green and his Harvard teammate, Norman Cahners, spoke to a rabbi prior to the U.S. Olympic trials and decided to boycott the Games.
Green never regretted his boycott, although he attended three subsequent Olympiads and pictured himself winning the hurdles and long jump.
Green was elected to the Harvard Athletic Hall of Fame in 1961, and is also a member of the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

He was born in Ashby, on Aug. 31, 1916, son of the late Frank and Susan (Flavell) Green and was the husband of the late Eleanor (Irish) Green, who died in 1999.
A life-long resident of Ashby, Milton worked on the family farm for many years and later as an assembler for General Electric for 31 years.
Green is survived by two sons, Gerald Green of Goshen, N.H., and William Green Ashby; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
