Mimizan, pilot site for the wood of the future in the Aquitaine The Mimizan "Communauté de Communes", which is located 100 km to the south of Bordeaux (in the Aquitaine region of France), groups together the five Landes districts of Aureilhan, Bias, Mimizan, Pontenx-les-Forges and Saint-Paul-en-Born. The Mimizan Communauté de Communes concentrates in its region a whole range of activities centred on the wood industry, from the preparation of the ground and the selection of the species to the most varied means of processing (parquet flooring, wood panelling, paper, bags and furniture).
