MindSpring is a collaborative online learning environment which allows teachers to create comprehensive content-rich teaching resources, accessible to schools throughout the country.
Using MindSpring as the platform, teachers are able to share expert and innovative ways in which the curriculum can be interpreted and implemented to help students learn.
MindSpring, the second of 11 Digital Opportunities projects was launched by the Minister, Hon Trevor Mallard, at Riccarton High School in Christchurch.

MindSpring was a major Internet service provider which merged with EarthLink on February 4, 2000, with the company retaining the EarthLink name.
MindSpring was founded in February 1994 by Charles Brewer in Atlanta, Georgia after he had a frustrating experience trying to get online with Netcom.
MindSpring announced an agreement to merge with EarthLink that September.
