 Minder
Arthur was always known as "Arfur" due to the cockney habit of pronouncing "th" as "f" and much of the flavour of the series came from the colourful slang, some traditional and some invented specially.
As the series went from strength to strength and the character of Arthur Daley captured the imagination of a generation, East London slang became trendy and cod cockneys (or mockneys) could be found throughout the country.
Originally the series was to have been located in the East End of London but it was found to be more convenient to shoot in South London so the location changed, but the patois remained that of the cockney influenced East End.

The plot, such as it is, revolves around Richie Rich (TVS linkman 1974) struggling in the face of an enormous lack of talent to keep his non-existent TV career going.
In this quest for the unlikely, he is disably assisted by his 'friend' and minder, Eddie, who, whilst despising the ground that Richie walks on, is only too aware that he is onto an easy ride, and Ralph, self confessed theatrical agent, pornographer and alcoholic.
Filthy, Rich and Catflap, or to give them their glorious full names, Ralph Filthy (Nigel Planner) Richie Rich (Rik Mayall) and Eddie Catflap are three of the saddest, grimiest and most pathetic characters you are likely to see this side of "Bottom".

Filthy Rich And Catflap - Series 1 - DVD Reviews - Film - Entertainment
Written by Ben Elton, this swipe at the inanity of Thatcher's Little England follows the misadventures of would-be TV personality Richie Rich (Rick Mayall), his sponging, hypochondriac agent, Filthy Ralph (Nigel Planer), and Eddie Catflap (Adrian Edmondson), Richie's lager-sodden minder.
And with Mayall, Planer and Edmonson still very much in Young Ones mode, the apoplectic performance style grates after a while, too.
The slapstick and poo-bum-wee humour is timeless but the targets of Ben Elton's satirical haymakers - the Tory government, '80s light entertainment stars - have faded into irrelevance.

Kikizo Games: News: Gun - New Screens and Videos
When we last looked at Gun, back in July, Activision was concentrating on the current-gen versions of the game - and our minder told us that Neversoft was using the PlayStation 2 as its design base.
While other games, TV shows and movies would have you believe that the Wild West was populated by laughable curmudgeons and the occasional showdown at high noon, Gun is instead rooted in reality - specifically in author Cormac McCarthy's version of it as laid out in his seminal and bloody novel Blood Meridian.
Created by Tony Hawk series developer Neversoft, Gun tells a classic Western story steeped in revenge and violence.
