Mufulira was a short period in my working life, but a wonderful one which my wife and I have never fogotten.Our kids were born in Muf.

Junior gold miner Sub Nigel announced on Wednesday that it has been granted a temporary mining licence to conduct a drilling programme on the northern section of the Ventersburg Project in the Free State.
An application for the Ventersburg was submitted to the Department of Minerals and Energy in October 2003 and an Environmental Management Programme (EMPR) for the project was submitted in November 2003.
The company has been informed by the DME that apart from the approval of the EMPR there were no further outstanding issues with regards to the granting of a permanent mining licence for the Ventersburg Project.

Eyre has also done well this jumping season with Benbyas, who won a valuable handicap at Cheltenham before finishing fourth in the County Hurdle at the Festival last month.
Eyre has trained a total of 376 winners and enjoyed a tremendous run in the late 1990s.
