The hooded hijackers, carrying automatic weapons, had released several rounds of automatic gunfire into the air during the course of the 13 hour siege.
The bus was seized near the regional capital of Stavropol early this morning and the hijackers later shot and wounded at least one person before heading for the spa city of Mineralnye Vody.
