		The term "minimalist" can also refer to anything which is spare, stripped to its essentials, or providing only the outline of structure, independent of the particular art movement, and "minimalism" the tendency to reduce to fundamentals.
		Minimalist sculpture on the other hand is greatly focused on the materials (see David Smith and Donald Judd).
		Most modern philosophies could also be considered minimalistic in that they resort to providing only a limited set of valued elements as opposed to everything a person needs to live their life, for example a philosophy centered around only money.

		Given the name of this group, it may be too much to ask that there be a greater emphasis on minimalism than on deserts, but perhaps we could try to be careful about what desert shots are submitted.
		The trees, broken rock-looking part of the beach, the buoy, clouds, mountain and horizon all meet right at the top of the photo, which is a lot of 'activity' compared to the simple, clear line of the foam meeting the sand.

		This is one of the better cds with minimalist music that I have hears, and much of that is due to the inspired job done by the London Concert Orchestra under Christopher Warren-Green.
		The intensity with which the group takes on all of these pieces is palpable throughout the disc, especially during the "Shaker Loops," one of Adams' crowning achievements (in my humble opinion), and raises the level of tension and excitement to new heights.
