The government's failure to pay its minister for women is embarrassing, wrong and could hold back its attempts to address the pay gap between men and women, her fellow minister, Harriet Harman, has said.
Meg Munn was appointed minister for women last May, but has remained on her £59,000 backbench salary because the government had used up its allocation of ministerial salaries, which are limited to 109 at a time.
The Tories called the decision an insult to women and argued that it was impossible for Ms Munn to be taken seriously on equal pay issues when she was not rewarded in the same way as her colleagues.

Women preachers are a fulfillment of Bible Prophecy and another sign of Christ's soon return to earth (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17-18).
Women were not educated as were the men in that day; therefore the women would talk back and forth to their husbands in church and ask questions concerning the sermon.
To condemn women preachers and women church workers is in a sense to claim they are doing wrong and committing sin...and all those who support them and listen to them are having a part in that sin.

And I think the women who are currently involved are from big cities, and especially the major city like Kabul, and provinces where they have access to education and to centers, such as women's centers or other places, and they're educated.
So we have a foreign minister who is really sympathetic for the issues of health, which is a priority of the country, and he has been a very successful minister.
