Denmark has recently amended its Nationality Act so as to eliminate the previously automatic right of non-citizens between the ages of 18 and 23 who have lived in Denmark for 10 years or more to acquire citizenship by means of a 'fast-track' naturalization process.

Denmark was a strong backer of the US-led war on Iraq, and accused the former Baghdad regime of having illegal weapons of mass destruction.
Rasmussen told parliament before the start of the war on March 20, 2003 that he was convinced Iraq was in possession of weapons of mass destruction, and his government said the their existence justified a military strike.
The committee is the Danish parliament's most secret and important, and is made up of five members of the largest political parties, the justice and defence ministers and the heads of the intelligence services.

OTTAWA (CP) - Canada's defence minister pulled on a pair of hiking boots and trudged on to a tiny northern island on a one-man mission to counter Denmark's claim to the barren, frozen rock.
Of course no other Canadian "facilities" are claimed by Denmark, which sent navy ships to the island in 2002 and 2003 and hoisted a Danish flag.
Denmark's claim is based on their argument that the island is closer to Greenland than to Ellesmere.
