Apart from providing supplies to the defence force, the directorate is responsible for the preparation of logistics policies, plans and their implementation; recording the acquisition of new materials and equipment in accordance with the defence procurement policy; and managing all vehicles and transport related issues through an efficient cost effective management practice.
The main roles of the Namibia Defence Force are to ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country by guarding against external aggression, both conventional and unconventional; prevent violation of Namibia’s territorial integrity; and provide assistance to civil authorities in guarding and protecting government buildings and key installations as provided in the Defence Act.

The Ministry of Defence Police was formed in 1971 by the merger of three civil constabularies, the Air Force Department Constabulary (AFDC), previously under the control of the Air Ministry, The Army Department Constabulary (ADC), previously under the control of the War Office, and the Admiralty Constabulary, previously under the control of the Admiralty.
In 1984 the House of Commons Defence Select Committee recognised the difficulities under which the Ministry of Defence Police were operating and the Broadbent Committee's recomendations led to the passing of the Ministry of Defence Police Act 1987.
Instead it is responsible for policing land, property, and personel of the Ministry of Defence throughout the United Kingdom therefore all its officers are attested as constables in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland Having full constabulary powers.

It flies from the Ministry of Defence building along with the three services' flags, but I don't think it is the Ministry of Defence flag per se - it is meant to be flown wherever the three services have headquarters together.
Since 1964 when the Ministry of Defence was created and the Board of Admiralty abolished, the old 17th century Navy Board flag (three vertical plain yellow anchors on maroon) has been used by both the Navy Board and the Admiralty Board (Navy Board plus Government Ministers), and often known as the Admiralty Board Flag.
