The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food was a UK government department, first created in September 1793 (relaunched in 1889 and called the Board of Agriculture.) It dealt with agriculture, fisheries and food safety.
It was the last Ministry in the United Kingdom Government not to be a Department of State.
The Ministry of Defence continues to be known as a Ministry although it has been a Department since the 1960s.

Minister of Fish Wealth Mohammed Mujawar stated to official news agency (Saba) that the ministry would claim the compensation for violations that damaged coral reefs and evasions of due claims that are supposed to be paid to the ministry under an agreement with the vessels allowed to fish the regional waters.
"Fisheries projects worth 40 million dollars will be opened during the ceremonies of 15th anniversary of Yemeni unification such as the Al-Shahar fishing port in Hadramout and the Midi fishing port in Hajjah," he said.
He added that the ministry is working to promote investments in fishing cultivation involving 35 sites on the Yemeni coast and a fish farm in Lohia on the Red Sea, which consists of 50 basins for the production of shrimps.

The Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Marine Resources says that the Presidential Award of fisheries for a youth will be given this year, same as all years since the president’s statement in 2001.
The fisheries award will be presented to a selected youth between 18 and 35 in age, and had made remarkable achievements in the fisheries sector.
Hence, the Fisheries Ministry calls to send in completed application forms before the 16th of September, via respective atoll or island offices, or the Ministry, if the applicant is a resident of Male’.

The Minister of Fisheries, having obtained the recommendations of the Marine Research Institute, shall issue a regulation determining the total allowable catch (TAC) to be caught for a designated period or season from the individual exploitable marine stocks in Icelandic waters for which it is deemed necessary to limit the catch.
At the same time information shall be provided on the holdings of individuals and their spouses and relatives in directly ascending or descending line if their total holdings or voting rights amount to 10% or more of the share capital, initial capital or voting rights in the legal entity in question.
The Directorate of Fisheries must be notified in advance of any transfer of catch quotas as provided for in the second paragraph and it is not valid until the Directorate has confirmed the transfer.

In section 1(c)[27] of the New Forest Act 1949 for the words "Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries" there shall be substituted "Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs".
