That is everybody except the people at work in the court house and city hall, for strange to say, the sound was hardly heard within the massive building high over which the bells were swinging [sic] and reverberating with every stroke of the huge live oak clappers.
The only other chime in the city is that of the Church of the Redeemer, but the court house chime is as superior to that as a grand church organ is superior to an old melodian.
The chimes of other American cities are obliged to take a back seat, and the St. Paul court house chime dwindles into absolute insignificance beside the giant 10 bells in the huge tower of the Minneapolis court house and city hall.
