 Minnesota Public Radio Adds Great River
Minnesota Public Radio (MPR), a 37-station network based in St. Paul, Minn., has adopted Great River’s (AES booth #1136) MP-2NV as their “unofficial, official” mic preamp.
MPR switched broadcast consoles about five years ago, but somehow “it lost the sonic solidness,” says Scott Liebers, one of MPR’s broadcast recording engineers.
MPR is now expanding their facilities to more than twice their current capacity with the addition of four new “on air” studios and the acquisition of an indie rock radio station, which will be used to broadcast that genre as well as being employed for in studio performances.

It's very cool to see interesting places and famous landmarks in Google Maps, but to me it's also interesting to see places that are important but don't really have a fixed address.
I actually liked their previous iterations better, but this home page is still an exercise in clarity and simplicity, given the scope of the organization.
Although some might argue the grayscale color scheme is a bit boring, I like how they use blue/red combo to both make the radio services stand out from the gray, and also connect the radio services from the top navigation to the right content column.
