Minnesota State Highway 62 is an unusual road in the highway system of the U.S. state of Minnesota, as it actually has two distinct portions—the only such highway in the state.
This is in the southwest portion of the state.
Hennepin County Highway 62 still exists outside of the Interstate 494/694 loop, but the road transitions to MN 62 as the road crosses inside the beltway.

Minnesota Department of Transportation officials said Friday construction on the Crosstown interchange in south Minneapolis and Richfield, scheduled to start this summer, has been put off indefinitely.
The Crosstown highway affects thousands of drivers who each day squeeze through an interchange in south Minneapolis on the border with Richfield, where Interstate 35W merges for a time with Minnesota Highway 62.
Minnesota's road builders had warned the state through their lobby group, the Associated General Contractors, earlier this year they would not be submitting bids for the Crosstown rebuild.

Minnesota Statutes § 171.02, subdivision 3 concerns the safety courses that are required to obtain a permit to ride a motorized bicycle.  Paragraph (c) authorizes the commissioner to promulgate “rules prescribing the content of the safety course, examination, and the information to be contained on the permits.”
Minnesota Statutes § 171.05, subdivision 2 compels persons under the age of 18 to complete driver education to obtain a class D motor vehicle driving permit.

December 11th, 1999 the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation, with support from the State Highway Patrol and the Minneapolis Police Department, carried out their plans to remove the Four Oaks Spiritual Encampment, to kill the Four Sacred Oaks, and to desecrate Mother Earth.
The highway opponents were arrested and charged with obstructing traffic and disobeying police during a July 27 demonstration at Hiawatha Avenue and Minnehaha Parkway in South Minneapolis.
Highway opponents held a rally in the courthouse atrium before court proceedings and returned for singing during the lunch recess.
