		Minor is accused of guaranteeing hundreds of thousands of dollars of loans and providing cash payments to state judges, who in turn are alleged to have provided him favorable treatment in court.
		In their motion filed last week to dismiss the indictment, Minor’s lawyers argue that he engaged in “very similar conduct” to Scruggs and that Scruggs is benefiting from a double standard because of his ties to Lott and other top Republicans.
		Minor is alleged to have committed mail and wire fraud and engaged in bribery in order to gain “favorable treatment” in court.
