  Minority Report
Visually, the film is stunning with lots of action, mystery and some pretty cool looking imagery as Detective Anderton uses his manipulative skills to search through the recorded "memories" of the future by the Pre-Cogs secretly kept by the Precrime cops.
Cruise is the star of Minority report, being on screen for the bulk of the film, but the megastar is often overshadowed by some splendid supporting performances.
"Minority Report's" weakest element, though, is in its climatic denouement which is flattened with family sentiment, pedestrian revelations and the overkill of narration over perfectly explanatory visuals.

 Minority Report
Minority Report, as a movie, is a marvellous amalgam of science fiction and morality gone wrong.
Minority Report, based on the short story by Philip K Dick, is set in a not-too-distant future where the most serious crimes are dealt with by the Pre-Crime Unit, and stopped before the felon has even had the chance to commit his crime.
In Minority Report, as was the case in A.I., Williams instead adopts a markedly more dissonant tone, allowing his orchestra to revel in large-scale disharmony, concentrating more on rhythms and speed of performance than melodic development.

Unlike other movies, Minority Report does have a satisfying ending, which is especially difficult given the difficulty of integrating all the plots together.

The Minority Report is the ultimate summer blockbuster; a killer science-fiction movie with entertaining action sequences, phenomenal special effects, a big-name star, and Steven Speilberg in the director's chair.
The Minority Report is science-fiction of the same caliber as Blade Runner and The Matrix and is one of the summer's few must-see films.
The film raises questions about the choices people make and the role chance and personal decision play in determining outcomes as well as the ethical dilemma in imprisoning people for what they are going to do instead of what they have done, despite the benefit it could have on society.

This time around, he gives the film a grittier look that's filled with disturbing images of kidnapping, mutilation and murder, all of which are accentuated by the same faded color scheme that he used for Saving Private Ryan.
The troubled script for Minority Report underwent a number of revisions over the years, so it's surprising that the end result is basically a loose, futuristic remake of The Fugitive--but with very little of that film's humor.
While Minority Report has its flaws and may not be for everybody, it is a challenging piece of filmmaking, especially for those movie lovers who choose to run back and see it again.

With "Minority Report", Steven Spielberg has ditched the romanticism of "A.I. " in favour of the paranoid creepiness of futuristic noir.

Slant Magazine - Film Review: Minority Report
Though Minority Report is seemingly structured as a very liberal attack on the orderly disorder of our own judicial system (perhaps even an affront to capital punishment, not to mention the many gray areas of reasonable doubt), the film is never boggled down by its own theoretical muscle.
Not unlike A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Minority Report is a film ripe with ideas; this time around, though, Spielberg seems more in control of his material.
And though the film falls flat during its overly-plotted final quarter, Spielberg's set pieces are so visually unnerving that it's easy to forgive him for forgetting the profundity he so intoxicatingly sustained for so long.

Minority Report - Film, Kino, DVD

Minority Report combines an elaborate plot you can never really pin down until the very end, loads of summer blockbuster-type action, all sorts of nifty futuristic technologies and special effects, the star power of Tom Cruise, and the direction of Steven Spielberg.
I thought the ending of the movie was superb; in many ways, Minority Report is a mystery, and the film plays its cards pretty close to the vest up until the final few scenes.
I should also mention the fact that the film boasts several very funny scenes, serving to release the viewer's tension momentarily - that's a good thing because things get pretty tense as the story progresses and you'll want to be mentally ready for the twists waiting for you around the final few bends.
