	Minuteflag
		Minuteflag was a collaboration between Black Flag and The Minutemen.
		The bands got together and recorded some material in March 1985, but they agreed that the material was rather worthless and decided not to release it until both bands had broken up.
		The material was released on an eponymous album in 1986 on SST Records (now out of print).

		Recorded around the same time Husker Du was laying down tracks for Flip Your Wig, Minuteflag, a party improv collaboration between the minutemen and Black Flag was a one-off project that upon hearing the results both bands agreed not to release it.
		While Mould and Hart were pushing the boundaries of post-hardcore into pop and emo territory, Minuteflag was exploring the the jam band domain even if it wasn't meant to see the light of day.
		Fun fact: The cover of the Minuteflag EP (here's an ebay picture) was drawn by Joe Baiza who would like perfect the punk-jamband synthesis of Minuteflag in Universal Congress of.

		This six-song effort by Amerindie progressives Tortoise and Dutch free-range punkers the Ex should be one hell of an EP.

		Other than being a collaborative EP from 1985 w/ both the Minutemen and Black Flag in the control room, if you check your Rocklapedia Britannica, you'll also see it listed as "a deeply disappointing joining of forces between two titans of the contemporary music scene".
		So, I'll ask the question again: is this the MinuteFlag of 2006?
		My answer is an unequivocal Yes and No. It disappoints, but not on a MinuteFlag level.

		Guys from one band would occasionally help out on another bands' album.
		Projects featuring various members of the SST family like the October Faction and Minuteflag (a one-off project featuring the Minutemen and Black Flag jamming together in the studio) formed and released records.
		The guys supported each other and helped promote each other, an arrangement that was especially beneficial to the label.
