Anyhow, he mentioned that the Defiant for "In A Mirror Darkly" is all CGI.
However, those guys are all doing their best to be true to TOS and he said that would mean they were including the the deflector grid, tho as subtly as it was in TOS.
Unlike the miniature built for that DS9 episode, the Defiant will probably be a CG image.

Encyclopedia: Star Trek: Enterprise alleged continuity problems
Issue, the TOS episode "Mirror, Mirror" is supposed to chronicle Starfleet's first encounter with the Mirror Universe, but an upcoming fourth season story arc on Enterprise features the Mirror Universe.
Most details of the two-part episode in question "In a Mirror, Darkly" have (as of the end of January 2005) yet to be revealed, however early reports are that the storyline takes place entirely in the Mirror Universe, meaning the NX-01 crew of the "real" universe are not exposed.
In addition, Captain Pike used lasers in the very first original series pilot, “The Cage” (TOS), suggesting that the subsequent switch to phasers in the first regular episode of that series indicated that they were new in the 23rd Century.

[ENT] Jammer's Review: "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II"
The Gorn, famous from TOS's "Arena" (a classic episode that I always felt was overrated) has been upgraded from a guy in a bad rubber suit to an animated CG creation.
To watch "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II" followed an hour later by Battlestar Galactica's "Act of Contrition" could result for the viewer in potentially fatal tone whiplash.
One thing I did like about this episode was its ruthless last act, in which the bad guys kill everybody and win.

TWoP Forums > 4-19: "In a Mirror, Darkly: Part II" 2005.04.29
These episodes were a fun diversion, but this is not what I would have wanted the whole series to be, either in terms of using the Mirror Universe or in terms of the constant barrage of TOS references.
You really have to suspend rational thought at these MU episodes and it is easy to see how there would be Trillions upon Trillions of AU out there because every time someone was killed in one universe and not in the other it is no longer a mirror.
Inasmuch as we are supposed to watch the entire four-season series on the assumption that it is part of the same reality as TOS, we are supposed to watch this two-parter on the assumption that it is in the same reality as "Mirror, Mirror".

In the Mirror Universe scenario the MU Tholians lured the Defiant into their universe with a fake distress signal then (presumably) boarded the ship and killed everyone.
In the original TOS episode it entered an area of unstable space which made the crew go bonkers for some reason and kill each other.
But then judging a whole race on the actions of a few is part of the rabid mentality I guess, nothing new there.

 StarTrekVoyager.com - Episode: "Enterprise - In a Mirror, Darkly"
The beauty of mirror universe characters, of course, are the subtle nods to their real-universe characters.
But the beauty of the mirror universe is that there are second acts, even if it is a dangerous place with a short life expectancy.
On Tuesday, even though it was the last day of shooting for the James Conway-directed part one of "In a Mirror, Darkly," it was historic as well.

TrekWeb.com - Echoes of FIRST CONTACT Sound Strangely "In a Mirror, Darkly" - First Plot Details (SPOILERS)
Coto even claimed that he hoped to change the opening title sequence of the show for the episode and wanted to surprise the audience with the prequel's first visit (so to speak) to the mirror universe first glimpsed in ST:TOS's "Mirror, Mirror" and revisted several times in DEEP SPACE NINE.
Also, In a Mirror, Darkly and Untitled Orion are not airing at the same time (March 4th), nor do I believe any ENT episode is airing March 4th, I believe after Feb Sweeps, there is a 2-3 week break period again.
I think 'Mirror, Mirror' is one of the classic Trek episodes that I find myself watching more often than the much raved about "City on the edge of forever' or 'Trouble with Tribbles'.

While I wouldn't want a whole series of this, these little dips into the Mirror universe are incredible carthosis (sp) for even us longtime, patient fans, who can only take so many episodes of humans and aliens talking about their feelings.
Yeah, it was really fun storytelling, even moreso than the first few DS9 mirror universe episodes (after which they got kinda bad).
Hoshi and her family were executed by Kodos (from the TOS Season 1 episode "The Conscience of the King") in 2246.

TrekFansUnited Forum -> "In a Mirror, Darkly"-Part II; Best episode ever?
This episode had an interesting concept and a lot of cool TOS stuff in it, but the end was a let down, IMHO.
Great episode, one of the best and I can easily be immature and more belligerant and throw a fit but I will not.
I do agree that part 2 wasn't as good as part 1, but a lot of conclusion episodes are like that.

$$$$ "In A Mirror Darkly" Part Two Thoughts and Reviews $$$$ - Topic Powered by Groupee Community
Despite being a mirror universe episode it really gives us more of a glimpse into those characters lives then we would have ever seen in the RU, plus it gives direct evidence for those few idiots that still doubt it, that Enterprise is set in the same universe as TOS and the rest.
As Hoshi continues her tenure aboard Enterprise, she almost mirrors humankind in taking the initial steps into the intergalactic community: tentative and concerned at first, but more and more sure of herself as time goes on.
The main character conflict of that episode was bewteen McCoy and Spock with McCoy's medical opinion that it was that area of space that was causing the cases of Space Madness (TM) and Spock refusing to leave the area upon his insistence.

TrekWeb.com - "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II" Welcomes Somewhat Familiar Faces and TOS Tie-In (SPOILERS)
The nineteenth episode of STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE's fourth season will continue the story begun with "In a Mirror, Darkly," and create another link between ENTERPRISE and the original STAR TREK series.
In Part I (as previously reported), a Mirror Universe adventure unfolds when we glimpse the moment of first contact with Vulcans taking a vicious turn, entirely different from the history we've seen in the feature film FIRST CONTACT.
In the famous TOS episode, the U.S.S. Defiant disappears into "interspace" after phasing between dimensions for a few hours.

Reflections in the Mirror, Mirror Contest (R.I.M.M.)
For this category, stories should be done in the fashion of the TOS episode "Mirror, Mirror." You can focus on our Janeway and/or Chakotay "visiting" the Mirror Universe, or the Mirror Universe's Janeway and/or Chakotay in the universe we know and love.
You probably know about the Mirror Universe from reading fanfic, watching DS9, reading books like Dark Passions, or you've seen the TOS episode "Mirror, Mirror." If you do or don't know about this universe, I'm going to tell you all you have to know about it for my contest.
In this category, the story should focus on the Mirror Universe Janeway and/or Chakotay (you can also add our Janeway and/or Chakotay to the mix, but the mirror versions are required) reflecting on who they are and/or their relationship after coming back from this universe.

Mirror, Mirror is unique in TOS (perhaps along with The Naked Time) in that all the events shown take place in real time.

“In a Mirror, Darkly” is a great tribute to the classic episodes of TOS and it’s a tribute to all the loyal fans out there who have seen every single episode of Star Trek.
“In a Mirror, Darkly” is Enterprise’s first (and really only) visit to the Mirror Universe which was first established in the TOS classic episode “Mirror Mirror” and later revisited in the Star Trek Deep Space Nine Series.
Thus, I was pleasantly surprised to see “In a Mirror, Darkly” recorded on my MCE when I got home from volleyball friday night (especially since there weren’t any new episodes of Battlestar Galactica until July).

That original story, Mirror, Mirror, introduced viewers to an alternate universe that was dominated not by a United Federation of Planets but a Terran Empire whose ruthless domination of the galaxy struck fear into the hearts of anyone who stood in their way.
In every story that involved the Mirror Universe, the story focused on someone from "our" universe having to make their way through a universe that was the same in many ways but dangerously different in many others.
That's the only word that immediately comes to mind after watching In a Mirror, Darkly, the first part of a two part Enterprise story that takes place completely within the Mirror Universe that was created by original Trek writer and noted science fiction author Jerome Bixby.
