Writing response papers gives you an opportunity to begin to explore your interests at some length, and they are excellent preliminary writing: the ideas that you explore in your response papers can be developed at greater length in the essays that you write for the course, or in the literacy narrative.
You may write a letter that addresses a theme or issue that the novel presents, either directly or implicitly, as a means to highlight that issue, or as a means to argue with it.
These writing assignments will serve to prompt our class discussions, to supplement our class discussions, to give you a method of addressing the novels that is more "creative," and, perhaps more important, they will ask you to step outside of your own personal perspective and try to understand the views of others.

Then have them turn the mirror (not their head) so they can see the person next to them, then turn the mirror so they can see the ceiling, then their shoes, then a poster on the wall, etc. Ask the students to look at the geometric figure sheet.
At this point, ask the students to find all of the lines of symmetry (the cut where one part of the figure is the mirror image of the other part) of all of the figures on the sheet.
Have the students arrange the mirrors so they can see exactly four images, and check the angle, then five images, and check the angle, then six images, and check the angle, then eight images, and check the angle, then ten images, and check the angle.

Mirror image - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In geometry, the mirror image of an object or two-dimensional figure is the virtual image formed by reflection in a plane mirror; it is of the same size as the original object, yet different, unless the object or figure has reflection symmetry (also known in the terminology of modern physics as a P-symmetry).
If the mirrors have vertical edges then the left edge of the field of view is the plane through the right edge of the first mirror and the edge of the second mirror which is on the right when looked at directly, but on the left in the mirror image.
Since the plane of the mirror in which one looks directly is beyond that of the other mirror, one always looks at an oblique angle, and the translation just mentioned has not only a component away from the observer, but also one in a perpendicular direction.

 Cerebral
Mirror writing, which is almost always the product of the left hand, can be conscious or unintended, involve whole sentences or just single letters and be the product of normal as well as diseased or damaged brains.
Mirror writing has been associated with various chronic neurological disorders such as dyslexia, stammering and other perceptual problems and has been seen in retarded persons, many of who are left handed.
From observations of mirror movements (synkinesis) in the limbs of children it is theorized that parallel mirror activities are present initially in almost all children.

There are some who say that Leonardo da Vinci only used mirror writing because he was left-handed, and writing backwards made it easier to avoid smudging the ink.
Mirror writing is thus the perfect medium for the works of someone destined to be seen as humankind's ultimate genius.
Simply by writing backwards, Leonardo was able to rebury the knowledge he had uncovered, to make unknown again what he came to know, and so to preserve the esoteric element in all his work.

 Leonardo DaVinci
Leonardo wrote in small notebooks using his left-hand and a technique of mirror writing (text is written from right to left).
He was left-handed and in those days of writing with pen and ink this was a particular disadvantage; as your hand crossed the page it would smudge the still wet text.
In the age of Leonardo, people were naturally superstitious and children were normally forced to write using their right hands, so it is unusual to find someone from this period who was so openly a south-paw.

I think that it has to deal with the mirror position of the hand muscles and with some abbility of the brain to send the same sequence of nerve impulses to the left hand instead to the right.
This is because I also can not read mirror writings so while writing my brain can not correct the written shape so it is better to switch it off :-).
One way to do this is just not to look at the paper while writing, but it is difficult for some people to accomplish it.

Teaching a child to write with his or her left hand is not just the opposite from teaching how to write right-handed.
The most important factors are: the position of the writing paper, the position of the arm and wrist, and the grip on the writing instrument.
Mirror writing is writing left-to-write languages (like English) backwards AND also reversing the letters so that the writing only appears normal when held up to a mirror and the reflection viewed (see Figure 3).

THE REAL LEONARDO DA VINCI   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
For over five hundred years, scholars have explained Leonardo's mirror writing as writing which could only be read in a mirror because he wanted to keep what he wrote secret.
If you have ever watched a left handed person write you will see that in order to be able to read what they have written, as they write it, they "curl" their hand around what they have written.
If the writing was being done with a pen or quill dipped in ink, the left handed writer would tend to "drag" the outside part of the hand over what was just written.
