Missouri State Park Rangers have established a proud tradition of devotion and commitment to service in performing their duties in a professional and competent manner.
The Ranger Program was reorganized in 1986 with the state being divided into three regions: Region I, the area north of I-70, Region II the area east of Highway 63 and south of I-70, and Region III including the area west of Highway 63 and south of I-70.
The new regions divide the state into two equal units, one encompassing the northern half of the state and the other the southern half of the state.

State highways in Missouri were first designated in 1922 and Missouri's system was used (along with Wisconsin's) as a plan for the entire U.S. Highway System which was created in 1926.
Missouri has also changed highway designations with a US highway or an interstate with the same number is designated through the state (Missouri State Highway 40 was redesignated Missouri State Highway 14 to avoid duplicating numbers with U.S. Highway 40 which also passes through the state).
State highways in Missouri are the responsibility of the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Section 571.107.1 also states that a Missouri concealed carry endorsement or a permit issued by another state shall authorize the person to carry concealed firearms on or about his or her person or vehicle.
Missouri also prohibits any person from buying, leasing, borrowing, exchanging or otherwise receiving any concealable firearm unless he or she first obtains and delivers to the person selling or otherwise delivering the firearm a valid permit authorizing the acquisition of the firearm.

One example among the numerous inaccuracies in the state and county registries is the case of David Blount.
After the state Supreme Court’s ruling in June, the Highway Patrol decided to leave those offenders’ names on the state registry after state Attorney General Jay Nixon’s office issued an opinion in July that said the ruling did not mandate that the names be removed.
In the fall, the Highway Patrol decided to remove address information about noncompliant offenders who were convicted before 1995, but it left their names, county of residence and offense details.

What better way is there to show those at Boys State who are supposed to get involved in their own community than by actually doing it, setting the example, and showing them how to get involved.
Certain guys who haven't had the opportunity, or just haven't taken it, to get involved; by getting them involved while at boys state, it may plant a seed in their life that they may want to make a lifetime of service to the community.
