		Conference teams have enjoyed tremendous success in virtually all sports since the league expanded to 10 teams and women’s programs were brought under The Valley’s administrative umbrella prior to the 1992-93 academic year.
		Erica Fricke started with the Missouri Valley in the fall of 2003 as Assistant Director of Communications at the Missouri Valley Conference, and she was promoted to Director of Communications in 2005.
		She is no stranger to the Missouri Valley Conference as Fight had been a volunteer for the State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Tournament for 13 years prior to taking over her current role in 2004.

		The only basketball coach in Missouri Valley Conference history to be named Valley Coach of the Year three consecutive seasons (1968, 1969 and 1970), John compiled a 211-131 career record in 13 campaigns at Drake.
		Drake collected a 26-5 overall record, shared the conference regular-season title with Louisville (both 13-3) and defeated the Cardinals (77-73) in a playoff for the leagues bid to the NCAA Tournament.
		John received a bachelor of science degree in education from Central Missouri State in 1941 and a masters degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1950.
