Detroit Lions Site: All Time Game Summaries 1995
Scott Mitchell (17 of 26 for 217 yards and a TD) moved the offense all afternoon, utilizing Brett Perriman (seven catches for 114 yards and a TD) and Herman Moore (six receptions for 67 yards) and watching Sanders rush for 147 yards on 24 carries.
Mitchell was 30 of 50 (both career-highs) for 327 yards and three touchdowns and directed the Lions' offense to 421 total yards, the second time in three games the club has gone over the 400-yard plateau.
Mitchell scored his first rushing TD of the season, a 10-yard run, to get the Lions within two touchdowns early in the fourth quarter, but that was as close as the Lions would get as Mitchell's second interception of the game came with the Lions down 34-20 and on the Falcons' four-yard line.
