Mitsubishi launched a new Colt in 1983, still splitting the range into Mirage (three- and five-door hatchback) and Lancer Fiore (four-door sedan) models, though some export markets did sell the four-door as the Mirage.

Mitsubishi Colt Plus: The next big thing - JapaneseCarFans.com
Sharing the same 2,500 mm wheelbase as the Colt sold in Japan since November 2002 (99,789 units sold by the end of September 2004), it features an extended rear overhang (+ 300 mm) aimed at increasing the cargo volume (5 passengers: Colt Plus 364 l vs. Japanese Colt 225 l).
In this perspective, the upcoming coupé-like 3-door Colt CZ3 and Colt CZT – designed in Europe for Europe and to be sold exclusively in Europe – will add a more appropriate buzz to the Mitsubishi Motors brand in a European context.
Furthermore, sales in the UK, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe (20% of the Colt 5 door volume) followed Western Europe in September, whereas the Colt CZ3 and Colt CZT (40 % of the overall Colt volume) will be launched during the first quarter of 2005.
