Our first opponents were Mitsukoshi (aka the Camels) who are always tough to beat and offer a good contrast of styles without being as infuriatingly good as Fritz or Bulian.
In the first half though there was no style to be seen from Mitsukoshi, as the Red Lions completely dominated, with Dan Long imperious at the back playing only his second BML game, Ian Morris playing some lovely stuff in the midfield and Alan Tennant outstanding in the holding role.
A host of Lions substitutes appeared for the second half, but surprisingly found themselves immediately on the back foot, with Mitsukoshi seeming much quicker to challenge for the ball than they had before the break and their forwards starting to chance their arm a bit more by running at the Lions defence.
