	Vintage Telephones
		The Model 1212 is known by collectors as the "Fat Boy." The phones of the 1920s did not have a ringer in the desk set (it was in a separate box mounted on the wall).
		The wall mount was in the captain's cabin mounted on the bulhead by the door to his quarters and the desk model was on a desk in the gun plot fire control room.
		Earlier models had a brown cloth cord that often became twisted and tangled; I can remember my dad would untangle the phone cord about once a month after it had become so short that his face was almost in the dial.
