Drummers are just starting to appreciate the collectibility of vintage drums as a hobby; it's rewarding, it's satisfying, and it's fun to do.
I like to let drummers know that there is a place they can go to exercise a choice in their investment in a vintage drum, rather than having to settle for something.
Frequently it falls into the hands of a drummer who isn't necessarily looking for a collectible drum and is just using it as an ordinary drum, not knowing what he or she may have.

Some drummers say they were nervous for their first few gigs and then, as they gained more experience, less nervous before shows.
The drummers interviewed for this article indicated that mistakes are clearly inevitable and that it is the drummer's response to mistakes that truly impacts his or her performance and experience of playing live.

The critics are substantially correct in their observations that the late drummer's most innovative work was presented in that context; while fans of the era most fondly and vividly remember him with Benny Goodman and his own large orchestra.
Although the once wild solos were carefully constructed by the drummer to be less demanding, the time keeping, four and eight bar breaks and arrangements were as swinging as ever.
Though the drummer had some trouble keeping up with the faster tempos, he provided the essential and incessant underpinning necessary for a group of this kind, and again more than makes up for lack of a bass.

Of note, Kevin was one of the first drummers to effectively use electronics live and incorporate them as an instrument and not as an afterthought.

I don't think drummers realise that the total concentration and knowledge needed to be a good accompanist is far greater than being a great soloist.
As a drummer you shouldn't be thinking in terms of "How am I going to get the attention away from that singer standing in front of me?" That type of attitude isn't going to get you anywhere, except frustrated.
Many drummers would probably find him too busy or find his bass lines too complex to get a handle on, and it did take me a while to get to know his vocabulary, or at least a part of his vocabulary.

As the drummer for one of England's biggest rock bands of the 70's - to date, Queen has sold well over 50 million records - it was Taylor's view of his profession that caused me the most problems.
It's a bit unfair, and because of it, being a drummer is a thankless task sometimes.
Of course, there's some truth in it, but most drummers who still hold out against electronic drums are only doing so because they're fearful of losing their livelihood.

Travis found a drummer awhile ago because I saw his new band and they were really good, but they didn't have a name and now I want to see them again.
I guess the band with two drummers is called Fuel the Fire, but it may have changed.
zach (fuel the fire) was in cadillac blindside.start/destruct other drummer (the one not in the band anymore) was in book of dead names for a while and also was in heads and bodies.

One semester Smith was given a full scholarship to go to the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma because their stage band was in need of a drummer.  Discontented with the lacking music scene in Oklahoma, Smith stayed only one semester, forfeited his scholarship and returned to Berklee for his seventh semester.
He has been involved with Sonor as much as possible and represented them at the Frankfurt trade show last February, as well has having done a clinic for Zildjian last November at the Percussive Arts Society, in which he was the first rock drummer to participate.
A project of which Smith is particularly proud is an album recorded with Journey in Japan at the close of their 1980 tour.  Group members wrote and performed a score for a film called Dream After Dream.

New drum companies seem to be proliferating at break neck speed these days, with most of them doing the same thing and competing in the same categories.
While there are a few craftsmen who can produce bearing edges, snare beds and finishes which are good enough to merit overlooking otherwise generic parts, it takes quite a drum to get most drummers to shell out top dollar for what is basically a “kit” drum.
Greg has been interested in building drums for several years, and has spent a lot of time examining modern and vintage drums to determine for himself what really makes a good sounding drum.
