	Períodes i moviments : El modernisme
		El modernisme sorgeix com a moviment a l'entorn del 1892, quan tot un conjunt de grups renovadors, que actuen en el món de l'art, la literatura, la música, etc., s'articulen al voltant d'un mateix programa.
		Amb el modernisme, a més, ens trobem davant d'un fenomen social important: la burgesia produeix la seva primera generació d'artistes, un part difícil i traumàtic que produeix la mateixa reacció que s'havia donat en les primeres generacions d'intel·lectuals burgesos de les societats industrials europees.
		En aquesta segona etapa el modernisme representa una forta renovació en la vida cultural de les comarques (Reus, Girona, Palafrugell i Terrassa), cosa que provoca que alguns intel·lectuals emigrin a Barcelona i que, inadaptats al medi ciutadà i fracassats en els itents de comercialització de la seva obra, desemboquin en actituds bohèmies sovint ben tràgiques.

	Ruta del Modernisme
		La Casa Lleó Morera –situada al passeig de Gràcia, 35, de Barcelona- s’ha adherit avui, 30 d’octubre del 2007, a la Ruta Europea del Modernisme, una associació internacional sense ànim de lucre composta per governs locals i altres entitats públiques i privades compromeses en la difusió, protecció, gestió i millora del seu patrimoni modernista.
		El passat dia 6 de febrer del 2007 uns vàndals van provocar danys, a cops de martell, en el morro i l’esquena de la figura del Drac de la font de l’escalinata de l’entrada principal del Park Güell.
		Els propers dies 1 i 2 de febrer del 2007 a Barcelona se celebra el segon Consell d’honor de la Ruta Europea del Modernisme de la qual formen part un centenar de ciutats i institucions d’Europa i d’arreu del món.
